I am a member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard and a full time firearms maintenance technician for the Army. I have over a decade of hands-on experience with firearms and another half decade prior to that of experience with archery and other non-firearm marksmanship and handling. My military qualifications include being qualified as "expert" with both pistols and rifles by army standards, having received a rifle excellence in competition badge, being an experienced range safety during rifle and machine gun qualifications courses, and being a trained and full-time armorer for the military. I emphasize safety, responsibility, and core shooting and weapon handling fundamentals. As well as knowledge and advice related to selecting and purchasing firearms, and advice for those interested in building, repairing, and maintaining their own firearms and equipment, particularly with an eye on affordability. I am happy to take the time to explain things in different ways to help people better understand core concepts and to learn them in a way that suits them. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to learning to shoot and selecting a firearm, and I like to work with individuals to come up with what works for them.
